Bio of Lujan Farms

Lujan Farm is a family owned business farming in the Mesilla Valley for over 70 years. Lujan Farms, originally called Lujan Brothers was started by the 3 Lujan brothers: Roque, JJ, & Joe.

The farmland is nestled between the Robledo and Dona Ana mountains, between Hatch and Las Cruces, NM.  The Lujan family is widely known for growing some of the best green and red chile in the Southwest and continues to be a local favorite.  They have earned loyal customers coast to coast.
During chile season, the farm's quaint produce store is filled with customers from miles around to choose from the wide varieties of chile the Lujan family has to offer. Upon arriving at the store, you are guaranteed to be greeted by a Lujan family member with a welcoming smile and good home-town conversation. Along with chile, the store is also stocked a variety of local produce and products, such as tomotoes, onions, squash & melons.

Lujan Farms offers many services to their customers, such as chile roasting, roasted frozen chile,  peel n' pack, and shipping where freshness is guaranteed.

Joe Lujan has been featured on CNN Headline News, The Associated Press, many local publications, and is notable throughout the state for his farming contributions.

Joe Lujan passed away June 17, 2016.  He will be greatly missed by many.  His daughter, Lucinda, whom has worked along side her parents for over 30 years will be the third generation Lujan to continue their chile farming legacy.
